FORLIS: Creating International Training Pathways for Somali Youth

Rawdah Youth Organization contributes to the FORLIS project, an initiative connecting Somalia and Italy through vocational training, Italian-language preparation, and specialized education in port and hinterland logistics.

As the local partner in Mogadishu, RYO supports beneficiary identification and accompaniment, language preparation, selection, career guidance, documentation, and logistical coordination. The project provides a pathway for 14 Somali young people towards specialized training at ITS Accademia Nautica dell’Adriatico in Trieste, Italy.

The initiative aims to support technical skills transfer, develop logistics professionals, and strengthen links between the port systems of Mogadishu and Trieste.
